What does special event security cost?
We provide custom solutions to ensure an appropriate level of security within most budgetary constraints. We’ll collect your concerns and essential event elements, assess your unique security needs, and give you service options to best protect your gathering.
What’s the process of getting special event security?
First, our team asks questions about the duration, venue, and expected attendees and works with you to understand your concerns about potential threats. Then, we assess and recommend the extent of services you need to ensure an uninterrupted event and collaborate with your key leaders to create the best implementation plan. Finally, we provide the kind of presence (before, during, and after, if needed) that will give confidence to your leaders and attendees to enjoy the event worry-free.
What’s the difference between high- and low-visibility security services?
High-visibility security refers to visible and overt security measures; it aims to visually deter potential threats and provide more obvious safety to attendees. Low-visibility security is more discreet and less noticeable: security personnel blend in with the crowd to observe and identify potential risks before they escalate. This type of security aims to identify and prevent risks without disrupting the event.
Are special event security personnel armed?
Whether your Constantem Defense personnel are armed depends on the risk assessment conducted by your event organizers and our security experts. Most special event security personnel do not need to be armed. In fact, armed personnel can create a sense of unease among attendees and may even escalate situations more than they help. However, for high-profile events, events with high-profile guests, or events with established threats, we may suggest armed personnel to provide an extra layer of protection.
What certifications and qualifications do event security professionals have?
Our main priority is always the safety of attendees. Therefore, Constantem Defense staff and contractors undergo extensive training and background checks. All security personnel are required to have a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Armed Security Officer License, regardless of whether or not they will be armed for an event. Special training is also provided for other security equipment, like metal detectors and surveillance cameras.
Does Constantem Defense protect facilities?
While we do not provide security services for unoccupied facilities, we can provide surveillance, deterrence, and action to protect facilities during events. Examples include: monitoring fine art at a residential party that includes unfamiliar guests, providing oversight at a silent auction with valuable prizes, or helping attendees be respectful in a house of worship during an open house.
